Tales of the far east continued...

After the Genting islands,we go on to the Afomosa resort. It was a complete contrast to the previous halt. It had a ranch feel with private villas and private swimming pools. Ground floor villas and green landscape, coutry side roads with trees lining both the sides of the road, no conveyance on road till you call for it, it is the ideal place to unwind after the hustle bustle of the Genting highlands. There are a host of activities that one can indulge in, in the sports arena like fishing, shooting, water park , animal shows at the night, etc.

After an overnight stay at Afomosa, we proceed in to the Lion City, Singapore. It is a small island, smaller than a lot of cities in India. Singapore has a very well maintained civic system. Some of the great places to visit in Singapore are Sentosa Islands, Jurong bird park and the Orchard road, a shopping mecca if one has the mullah. Few of the known places with great and comparitively cheaper stuff are Burgis market, Simlin park, etc. And ofcourse, Mustafa market, the 24 * 7 shop where you can find everything. Other things which you can indulge in at night are the numerous night clubs there. After the Singapore hopping gets over, one heads to the Singapore airport where you can indulge in some more duty free shopping.

Overall, it was a great experience. After all the islands gets soo many tourists every year, that tourism is their main industry.

Tales of the far east...

The first stop was at KL, Malaysia. The entire countryside is wide open, neat and tidy. And being from India, one will surely notice how scarcely populated the place is.

As we drive from the airport to the hotel in KL, we get a great views of the greens and the wide roads. As we reach the township area, there are high rise buildings, the famous twin towers and the KL towers. The town is filled with shopping malls and eating joints. HOwever, as we were vegetarians, the options for us was pretty limited. Then, we visited the water theme park in Sunvey Lagoon which is around an hour's drive from the city. The theme park was huge and we identified fedw scenes from certain films which were shooted there. And, the best time to visit the twin towers is at night when it is twinkling with the lights in all its' glory.

From here, we go to Genting. It is a must visit for any1 visiting the area. It is an entire city created on a hill. There is a whole township which is covered and under the jurisdiction of a king. Asia's biggest casino is in Genting. There are indoor and outdoor theme parks, shops, restaurants and lots of exciting things in the covered region of Genting. The weather is completely unpredictable, it might be sunny all the while, and suddenly start raining heavily only to stop within minutes. One will never know the time, the entire area us lit with bulbs and there is no dearth of things to do out there. It reminded me "The Gotham city" of Batman..

Lot more things of the trip remains which I will write about later. Right not I have to go and prepare for my next trip.. Guess where ?(Hint: In India..)

The Beginings

Here it goes finally...

Like many thousands of people, I love to travel. And believe you me, I travelled quite a bit. But, now I feel like sharing my experiences with others with similar passions. And today, as it rains consistently, sipping my coffee, I sit down to create a medium through I can write about expeditions which will follow from now on.

*Applaud*

I will soon be back with my overseas adventure..
